Longparish Little School (pre-school)
Longparish Primary School have a close link with the Little School, which is located on our grounds. Attending Little School does not guarantee admission to the primary school. Please refer to our Admission Policy under our Policies page as well as our Admissions section.
Helping your child grow through play
Longparish Little School is situated on the same grounds as Longparish Primary School. We are dedicated to fostering a play-based environment that allows children the freedom to choose and explore their preferred play areas and resources, leading
their own play experiences.
Our committed staff engage alongside the children, extending their play while promoting learning, curiosity, and fascination.
Our curriculum focuses on developing children’s foundational skills; just as trees with strong roots are better equipped to withstand environmental challenges and thrive, children who receive rich and nurturing early development are more prepared to flourish throughout their lives.
Our goal is to provide children with the environment and support they need to grow strong roots, allowing them to start branching out when they transition to the next stage of their journey.
We offer twice-weekly forest school sessions, along with activities such as woodwork, music, pottery, process art, cooking, gardening, physical play sessions, and write dance. Additionally, we are proud to be an Eco School, committed to teaching children how to care for our planet.
Our team has extensive experience in supporting children with a wide range of needs. Our SENCO is a qualified Early Years Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) and trained in the Picture Exchange
Communication System (PECS). We also have staff qualified in Makaton and Early Talk Boost.
