Our visit to Whitchurch Fire Station
On Thursday 7th February Robin Class visited Whitchurch Fire Station.
We had a really fun time looking at all the equipment on the fire engine and sitting in the firefighter’s cab. We especially liked the Jaws of Life used to rescue people from their cars.
We learnt all about smoke alarms and how to Stop, Drop and Role if we were caught in a fire. The firefighter was so quick to get dressed to be ready for an emergency. The children thought that they would try to beat the record at getting changed for P.E!
We all loved spraying the water hoses at the targets and some children thought they might like to be firefighters.
A great morning thanks to the Whitchurch firefighting team. Robin Class were beautifully behaved as always- Well done.
