Longparish Church of England Primary School (Aided)

Rugby Tournament

On the 22nd November 2018, Kingfisher Class’ rugby team went to Appleshaw Primary School to compete in a tag rugby tournament. They were competing against 4 different teams who came from Grateley, Appleshaw, Amport and Hurstbourne Tarrent. The Kingfisher Class’ team won all of their games with lots of different players scoring tries!

The first game was against Appleshaw and Kingfishers won 4-2.  All the team felt very proud and happy which encouraged them to carry on and try their best. Throughout the rest of the games, all the players worked well as a team, using the rugby skills they have been practising. It is important to thank Mr Filby and Mr Williams for their hard work on training Kingfisher Class. Mr Williams kindly gave up his afternoon to support the team during the tournament.

After winning all their games, Kingfisher Class’s team went up to receive their medals and trophy. They were very proud of their performance and represented Longparish fantastically throughout the afternoon. Well done!
